The harnesses and construction in this video are not indicative of the final EdgeWalk attraction.

Mark Laroche, President and CEO of Canada Lands Company, gets a breathtaking preview of construction progress at the CN Tower's newest attraction, EdgeWalk which opens to the public in August 2011.

  • @ExplosiveZee This is clearly a construction site still. Ontario Health and Safety Act states you must wear PPE at a construction site. That being said, and given the elevation of this structure you can see some of them with straps to protect the people below from a possible falling object. And by the way, the top of the spire is at about 1800ft so 2000ft...well..check your facts.

  • I would puke all my organ out if someone made me do that.

  • @Blade025 It covers the insurance, in case of an accident. ;)

  • Helmets, indeed! I wonder if the helmet company will make as big a false claim as the safety toe guys did. As if wearing a plastic shoe cover with a glued-in steel toecap would make any difference if something went wrong! (They probably threw them away after, hah.)

  • how is this scary? You've got grating to walk on and you're tied off to a retractable lanyard. Try being the guy who has to connect all that steel when there's nothing there to begin with......fucking worm.

  • Oh, god. I wouldn't be able to take that ride. I would be scared to death.

  • @ExplosiveZee

It's still under construction, which means it's a hard-hat area.

The paying customers won't wear hardhats.

    .

  • @ExplosiveZee the helmet is for the fall on the steel, dumbass, plus there is construction going on for the edge walk.

  • this would be the first exercise of a pilot

  • holy shit
