@allnumbersandletters Important thing here is that the WHOLE does not exist. Because the WHOLE is determined by your CHOSEN criteria for determining the object of analysis. Here comes the Einstein's statement, paraphrased - if you perceive a problem with a certain WHOLE, change the criteria and as a result change your perception of the object of analysis. Changing perception means changing the object and therefore changing the point form which you look at the problem.
Very interesting video ... but I would have said that science, as we know it today, was rather born during the Enlightenment, not the Renaissance, as the Professor claims.
I'm sorry lagswing, I wish I was a bit smarter but to be honest all that went right over my head. If you could just dumb it down a bit for us simpler folks I'd love to read what you have to say. Thanks :-)
So connecting with what Kuhn has stressed (paradigm shift), in advance it is impossible to see. Only afterwards. This is called belief. Prevailing science, when someone says: all can be done better and easier, and it can be explained why, without belief they dont get it. Then what is the next gear bringing all previous on the road further, is like a missing corner stone. Knowing the value, one will only be prepared to give it away to those who belief, not in those who only belief when they see
