This carving of what appears to be a Stegosaurus is located a courtyard or two in from the front entrance of Ta Prohm Temple (finished in 1191 A.D.). This is in the Angkor Wat area near Siem Reap.

Since the fossils of dinosaurs were not found until the 1800s, this 800 year old carving seems to imply that the Stegosaurus still lived around that time. If true, this would totally contradict the theory of evolution which states that the dinosaurs went extinct 60 million years ago. Creationists believe man and dinosaur were both created in the first week of creation and co existed for some time, perhaps up to more recently than imagined . So it would easily be possible that people could have seen a live Stegosaurus and made this image as a result.

Since the evolutionists could never accept this, they have put forth alternative theories about this carving - That it is a hedgehog or water buffalo in front of a bush, or is a chameleon, or that the ridges were added later on, or that the whole carving is recent, or that the King in 1191 A.D. had dinosaur fossils. These theories are possible but have good arguments against them.

However it is true that the head of this creature is larger and with horns unlike the known Stegosaurus.

Did a Stegosaurus or a dinosaur Stegosaurus like creature exist 800 years ago? We don't know, but it is an interesting possibility. Most tourists going through Ta Prohm did not notice the carving, and even when they did they did not seem to realize the interesting debate this thing is causing.

  • Good vid. Shame you had to touch the carvings

  • @mikesanford11 can you explain more?

  • "Evolution is false and the bible is true" should have been "evolution is false and the bible is false". Maybe you just misspoke?

  • Clearly the bible thumpers have no clue what the bible says. The malarkey about 6 thousand years was one idiots idea that spread. If your a REAL Christian go back and fact check with strongs and other references and you will clearly see the miss translation of a single greek word led to the 6k year fallacy. The Bible was clearly written to intend the earth was millions of years old. Fact Check it yourself and help stomp out these retarded dark ages myths.

  • ffs seriously? I just lost a little faith in humanity

  • It's an artistic rendition of a chameleon, not a stegosaurus. It's just too different to be a stegosaurus....

  • @mortsey It's not necessarily proof of creationism, but it does at least prove that the traditional timeline used by evolutionists is at least 46 million years off since it shows dinosaurs never went extinct 46 million years ago.

  • On the face of it this is compelling, and that does look like a dinosaur I have seen in evolutionary science books, but be careful what you call proof of creationism. Look at all the other odd and mythical creatures carved in that place. I don't think you really want to get ionto a debate where you have to explain how that "stegosaurus" is real but the rest are just imaginative mythological creatures.

  • that is sooooo fantastic. I see all kinds of illogical comments below that make fun of this calling it a chameleon and saying that the People didn't believe in Jesus; non of which have any logical connection to the people seeing a dinosaur in real life. chameleons do not have leg joints that come straight down like that. But, there are so many other evidences from around the world sich as textiles, pottery, cave drawings, totem pole carvings carbon dated around 400 AD that validates this as we

  • @emulateit lol u jackass... that carving is a chameleon.. i believe some dinosaurs might have survived to this day.. but the chameleon on the carving is clinging onto a branch.. the chameleon's back were exaggerated into big plates.. or if a chameleon with big plates exsisted back in medieval khmer.. jus go google up a picture of a chameleon.. and u can see the direct similarities between the carving and a chameleon.. .. besides this is medieval khmer.. they dont give a damn about jesus..
