Surprise in training (Feet handling) at Smoke Signals Farm.

Prize is progressing nicely in her training here at Smoke Signals Farm in central Michigan. She arrived here with severe respect and trust issues that were caused by some BAD handling that she experienced prior to coming here. She was quick to react and you could fully expect her to "defend herself" at all cost. Her owner was told by a "trainer" that she needed a "cowboy to throw her on the ground and make her accept things". I don't do that, but I do specialize in building trust and a partnership with a horse, so they are WILLING to do things when asked properly.

Today, she is accepting of me picking up all four of her feet and she isn't trembling anymore. This is a MAJOR improvement. :o)
