The highly anticipated Nth Dimension Of Jiu-Jitsu series is here and we are proud to present here our first video clip, Back Attacks 1! Robert Drysdale, the 2007 ADCC Absolute Champion pulls out the stops with his unorthodox grappling system that is quite unlike anything you have ever seen before. This new and highly controversial style of grappling abandons the traditional mindset that a dominate grappling position is needed before obtaining a submission. Robert Drysdale's Nth Dimension grappling system is a relentless hunt to finish the opponent, attacking from all angles and exposing submissions from every position. His amazing performance in recent top grappling events are a testament to his system's effectiveness. If you are seeking to take your game to the next level, this is the DVD set of the year to get! • so every technique possible was invented at the beginning? The ancient Japanese that invented Jiu Jitsu were gods and came up with every possible technique? I don't think so. I study Judo and I have great respect for it and for Japanese martial arts, but every grappling technique was not invented by the japanese.

    Who cares?

  • Not to step on anyone's toes but jujitsu was the traditional Japanese martial art. Kano then broke off from jujitsu and created judo, so " jujutsu " was first, then came judo which eventually became an Olympic sport in the 1960's. Jujitsu came to Brazil by way of Mitsuyo Maeda ( sent by Kano ) who taught Carlos Gracie and his younger brother, Helio when he traveled to Brazil. The Gracies went on to create Brazilian Jujitsu from then on.

  • @Menof09 pretty much, all this new stuff is just a variation of something that already existed

  • brazilian jiu-jitsu came from jiu-jitsu,jiu-jitsu came from judo

  • Nice ! good explanations, will check for dvd's!

  • @liquid636 "I will have to agreed that Bjj came from Kosen Judo. Eddie Bravo didn't invent any move, he may have tweeked them slightly. But he didn't invent anything. Techniques are only rediscovered"

And judo came from japanese ju jitsu, and japanese ju jitsu (and most asian martial arts for that matter) trace their lineage back to India. And Indian martial arts likely borrowed many techniques from the martial arts systems of other nations, Greece and Rome for instance.
