The City of Farmers Branch thought of a nice way to honor our troops, both past and present. They designated a section of Interstate 35 as Liberty Freeway, and they asked several cities if they wanted to participate. You can read all about the Liberty Freeway project here: http://bit.ly/LibertyFreeway
As with any decision, there are pros and cons when considering a special designation like this. Discussing these pros and cons is not only acceptable, but vitally important for the city council. Rudy Durham went beyond pros and cons when he admitted that he was reluctant to approve this measure because he was angry with the way that Farmers Branch addressed their illegal alien problem.
With illegal alien sympathizers like Councilman Durham and Lewisville City Attorney Ron Neiman working for the city, is it any wonder that Lewisville has such a huge illegal alien problem? We need more people like John Gorena and Greg Tierney on the city council.
I would encourage Councilman Durham to resign next year instead of running for re-election. If he decides to run, I'll do my best to recruit TJ Gilmore to take him on.
Lewisville deserves better than this.
