Raccoon Attack

@SunChaserWildlife You're an idiot. The only way a raccoon can be released back into the wild after capture is if a licensed individual examines it for rabies first. If there is no qualified person to examine the animal it has to be put down. Statistically raccoons are known for carrying rabies and this is why those state laws exist. You suggesting the release of a potentially rabid animal so it can suffer more and infect others?

I have a pet Raccoon and that noise he is making is his call for you. My Raccoon makes the same noise all of the time when she can't find me. To the comment about the rabies, yes Raccoons can carry rabies and do not statistically carry rabies. Dogs have the highest rate of rabies than any other animal. I have a Class III Wildlife permit for my pet Raccoon and had to know that for the license. :) Also, many states require on-site euthanasia or on-site release of Raccoons.

Why did not you give it some food?
I was thinking the same thing mrwise... just young and scared I'm sure, looking for some comfort. Poor little thing. Danny, women are going to fall at your feet over how sweet you were with that racoon. What ended up happening with him?

@ChelseasMomLinda The raccoon followed us around for at least an hour, we got some bread crumbs to feed it, but had to leave it at the park when we left. We considered taking it home, but with the dog at the time and having no room we decided that was a bad idea LoL.

nope we were taking pictures in the park and I pointed him out. He just ran right up to us. We went home and got some bread crumbs to feed him.

Okay, just to clarify...I know he wasn't really attacking us. YES, at first I didn't want him getting too close because we did have a kid and you never know. Eventually we went home and got food and fed it. But we didn't want to get too close, because you never know.
