  • was your father Con then if so i may remember you as a child as i say i dont live in SWORDS but as they say the person can leave SWORDS but SWORDS wont leave the person anyway im a seatown villas man and to me your wee clips of video were brillant especally when i was so involved in them ,cheers

  • i grew up and had lots and lots of lots of kids that one is my youngest, and u what u do u still live in swords i dont i left swords.are you related to the donoghue who used to own the shop in north street but the video is top draw my friend

  • @2wicket yes I live in a new estate in swords, im the son of the shop owner, I uploaded a vid of the shop in the channel too

  • @buaileamscith My question was answered. I just saw two more recent clips 1988 and 2010 of Swords Mumming so tis alive & well.

  • @dodonoghue I'm not from around there but was just curious and surprised to known there was a mummer tradition there. Its a pity to let a tradition like that go.

  • o m g what a clip brings back so many memories walking the streets of north co dublin year after year as a young boy i loved every minute of it free drinks [lemonade]and crisps and alachol for the mummers and every penny went to charity BRILLANT
