The outdoor survival wire that can saw through a tree
I'm more a city type of person, so I very rarely make a trip out to the wild or the woods. However, last month I made a trip with a pal who practically dragged me there, and I sure learned a thing or two about outdoor survival skills, and necessary wilderness survival tools to bring along. There came a point in the woods where there was a stream of gushing water in our path, and I thought that was it, we'll turn back. But no, Nicholas took out something from his camping gear, a sort of wire saw, and started sawing the tree near us! I saw that the wire was really thin but was cutting through the tree trunk as if it was a heavy steel saw. After a while of sawing, the tree came down and we could cross over the forceful water stream by using the fallen tree trunk as a walkway. Talk about going back to the wild! I was really impressed with Nicholas' wilderness survival skills and outdoor survival knowhow. We had a good time that day, even though we didn't hunt for meat. We had some baked beans we cooked over a fire I helped to start, and slept one night in the tent we pitched. After that, I've been wanting to do it more often, and plan to buy some other camping & hiking needs tools and gadgets.
