Flash Airlines Flight 604 death toll of 148 is the highest of any accident involving a Boeing 737-300. On 3 January 2004, the Boeing 737-300 crashed into the Red Sea shortly after takeoff from Sharm el-Sheikh International Airport, killing all 142 passengers, and all 6 crew members. The findings of the crash investigation are controversial, with accident investigators from the different countries involved not agreeing on the cause. Flight 604's death toll is also the highest of any aviation accident in Egypt.

  • I have seen so many of these investigations...It's funny that 99% of the findings include Pilot error, Pilot training, airline maintenence issues, extreme weather conditions and the ATC...MD, boeing and airbus manufactures are hardly blamed...

  • @argus46000 True. An aircraft is an extremely complex machine. It requires error free maintenance and flying in order to be a reliable means of transportation. The greatest commercial aircraft design blunder was perhaps the Comet jet aircraft.

  • Thank you VERY MUCH for presenting these investigations in HD. The look is 100 times better than the previously posted episodes.

  • @simontatt "Rudder Snap" or rudder reversal, is a big bugaboo on the 737, but all the accidents have happened on the landing phase of the flight rather than the takeoff portion as this accident did. The rudder reversal was eventually traced to the rudder actuator being influenced by cold during flight.

  • 08:53 The captain is not trying to get his plane back on coarse, but tries to stabilize it to normal flight operation... ;)

  • It seems that reluctance by a junior pilot to override a senior captain`s decisions will continue to be a cause or contributing cause of airline disasters. Younger, less experienced pilots need to be able to speak out and take over command in any critical situation if their input is likely to save the aircraft and those aboard. Also what is not discussed here is `Rudder Snap`. The tendency in some of the 737-300`s for the rudder to suddenly snap full left or full right, inexplicably.

  • @KILLUSALL92 Depends on the position you are sitting in. If you are lying almost horizontally, you may probably take 12G. In an aircraft, sitting upright and without pressure suit, even sustained 6G is likely to make you unconscious.

  • lol watching this makes me relay paranoid when i fly

  • @aizad3755 you can pass out at like 12G

  • lame and fag wmo3 ip dp t900 heter aken

  • The fact that they didn't determine the exact cause of this plane crash is disturbing. It could happen again.
