Really enjoyed that ! Brought back memories of my old 1400 mini, Dave Vizard's A series book and the like. That motor sounded sorted. You can take the A series out to 1600 if I remember correctly. Will this series be coming round to Castle Coombe (Wiltshire) any time soon?

@YoulesRacing ....Thanks mate, as a young man in Africa I had an engine with an 86mm crank and 74.155mm pistons from a triumph. I had to leave it behind when we left to go to the UK.  It ran a 649 and an IDA weber (I still have them after 35 years). Now I am in Australia and wanting to build a good engine again. Yours has given me some inspiration. Cheers from a 57 year old kid!!
