  • @howardtheman -Kinda like The Beverley Hillbillies. I think The Jeffersons accomplished that.

  • @ccg1171 When the producers asked Esther to return to the show, she said she would under several conditions which included having JJ's character being more mature, having Carl written out as he never existed and to have an increase in pay. She didn;t like how they had 'her character marry too soon and marry an athiest.

  • why couldn't Good Times continue throughout the early 80's? have everyone all grown up living in a fancy house and have all of them move to New York.

  • @whatuswattingat YES EXACTLY! n yes i liked james too, i hated the fact that they killed him off.. n sweet daddy just made my day.. lol.. im only 28 n i like watching this old shows.

  • @yulianachavez I feel to this day that when they killed off James, the show died. I loved how he would look at J.J. Eyes like ICE! LOL! And Florida would REALLY piss me off (The episode when James kept stolen money? Everything she was saying just annoyed me!

  • @whatuswattingat o i see! personally, i didnt like ESTHER ROLLE CHARACTER. her roll was to blah on the show.. was more into the other characters like jj n thelma n michael, penny sweet daddy, even buffalo butt.. all exempt florida.. even her voice was annoying..

  • @yulianachavez After they fired John Amos (And killed him off the show), the show took a nosedive. Then Esther Rolle left the show. Those are pretty much "Jumping the shark" moments, especially when they brought in Janet Jackson. When they brought back Esther Rolle, the show was already beyond saving. It's like putting a band-aid on an amputated leg.

  • @daisyladii who dead??
