This was the scene at 14th and U Street, a historic location in DC's troubled racial history. Forty years ago, in the 1968 riots, this was where the People's Drug Store once stood and where the riots started. On November 4, 2008, Americans young and old, black and white, gay and straight, Asian and Latino stood together and celebrated this amazing moment together.
