"Girl of My Dreams" was released by Britain's Bram Tchaikovsky in 1979. With its chiming guitars, soaring melody and anthemic lyrics, it quickly became a power pop classic. The song was written by Ronnie Thomas, a London-born bass player who had been in the proto-punk band Heavy Metal Kids. Here's Ronnie talking about how he came to write "Girl of My Dreams."

  • One of the best songs ever! Ronnie is a Star!

  • Ronnie Thomas' music and lyrics for Girl of My Dreams are as good as any Lennon-McCartney ever wrote, and better than some, and Bram & the boys sure delivered the goods. Thanks Ronnie, and thank you John for the great interview.....
