Not funny at all you prick, imagine if your club went through the shit that the old roys did, you should be fucking ashamed of yourself. And I am an Essendon supporter that was only a few years old went Fitzroy went out.

@83petro the afl in 1996 should of let north melbourne merge with fitzroy they would of been called the north fitzroy kangaroos

Port Adelaide replaced Fitzroy in the AFL. The league should have allowed Fitzroy to merge with North Melbourne.

@83petro perhaps the Crows should merge with Port Power. Port claim they are struggling financially when they have a much larger fan base than Fitzroy had. Give Fitzroy Lions back their license then. Clubs such as Fitzroy, foundation VFL Clubs - built the competition that you South Australians jumped on board and play in now. You obviously do not understand the pride and fight shown by Fitzroy fans in the 80s and 90s to keep their club a club in it's own right.

I feel genuinely angry that the AFL is bringing in that Great Waste of Space(aka Greater Western Sydney Giants) when they let a traditional old club like Fitzroy die. Absolute disgrace.

fitzroy had their chance to merge with footscray in the 80s, they should of taken it. "fitzroy bulldogs" would of been the smarter choice. shame really. im a crows fan, the crows and the roys had some great battles back in the early 90s

One of the best of the old club songs, I really miss hearing it on a regular basis, I am of the opinion that Brisbane should play the old song when they come to Melbourne and wear the old jumper, even if it's only 1-2 times a year

I agree. The Lions should play this song twice a year in Melbourne. They can play the Bears song twice a year in Brisbane if they want to, for balance.
