Assuming this is from the first year, this is about the same age as 'Joe and the Junebug' and 'A Boy Erasing Things (1,2...).' Both of those animated segments came out in that year as well. I do remember this one fondly, though.

No, he does have just eight legs, he just uses one each for the trumpet and the drum, if you look carefully.
