Defeatary

This is a student short film project in summer.
I was the director and the camera man. We had one month to complete so we don't really have the time to make it good we also have other stuff to do (as you can see there is a tripod in the boxing scene). So please don't expect a Hollywood quality movie XP. We used a Sony digital camera to film, Power Director to edit the film, and adobe after effect CS4 to add the effects and muzzle flares.

For a short film, it works story-wise, if english was a problem for you, I could easily see this film dialogueless and the story would still be understandable.

Editing is a bit fragmented and jumpy but passable for music choice and sound usage.

If my film professors were assessing this, they would be harsher but I enjoyed watching this. If you are able to make a short film like this but have no dialogue, the idea would still get across and it would still be cool.

Actually at first I'd like to make a silent film, but the teacher assigned us to speak. (He'll grade our English speaking skills) And we hadn't had enough time to retake the scenes that have mistakes... so there are lots of jumpy edits, ( you can notice a camera tripod in one of the scenes XD)

It was fun and tiring. A silent film is interesting! Would do it next time if opportunity presence.

Well I didn't understand the speaking too much, but the story yes. ^^; :3

You guys made a really good job in it, I like the camera-moving too : D

I think I only have 1 "critics" about this: the subs.

It had been better, if you would have put the video, and the subs 2 different part of the picture, cause it's a bit disturbing that it's in the video. Also it's "blurring" so long, I'd have shorted it a bit. ^^;

But in overall, it's awesome! : DDD

Yeah my friend's english is not very good when it comes to speaking so... sorry for that.

I will keep that in mind of the subbing. XD It's great to have mistakes the first time, so we have lessons to make the next time better =D.
