i think you went in the wrong direction with this one. I always imagined this song to be about a girl with a best best friend (as girls get) but during the course of their friendship together the girl has fallen desperately in love with the friend. The girl is too scared to tell the other girl this because she is her friend will refuse her. So she settles with being her best friend and masturbating to her and she is so happy because she is sat next to the person she loves but can never have...
