  • She looks fat in this video.

  • omg she was beautiful, she's beautiful no more......Thanks Bobby,

  • @direfranchement The race card is definetly played in his comment. He said that Bobby Brown convincing Whitney to "act more black" was destructive. Her destruction was do to her making poor personal choices not "acting more black". Im a huge Whitney fan. I grew up listening to her. Her destrucion, just like anyone, is due to poor personal choices.

  • @uncledou

With the overwhelming prevalence of Hip Hop, the "small view" of which you speak is perpetuated. It is self-fulfilling and self-actuating. Furthermore, you can't extrapolate his view of all black people from an observation he made of Whitney's career trajectory in the mid-late nineties. Any video footage of the singer from ca. 1998-2000 will in the least confirm the change in her public image and behavior, and your constructing a race conflict from his comment is unfounded.

  • @direfranchement I agree with Uncledou. With the way DriveAustra worded his statement, one could imply that DriveAustra believes that "acting black" means "acting gansta" and that is just down right offensive. Im not saying that is what DriveAustra truly believes, but it can be implied. If that isn't what he believes, a less offensive statement could be i.e. "In my opinion, I believe that Bobby Brown had a negative effect on Whitney's career and personal life". Its about respect for others.

  • @direfranchement Im not being ridiculous. Drive Austra didn't say "acting stereotypically black" before. He just said "black" and equated that to being a "lady gangsta". It saddens me the small view that people have of black people. Had he said "Bobby influenced her to have more of an urban edge" then I wouldn't have taken offense. But to group a race of people with "acting gangtsa" is offensive. I understand that Whitney's public image changed, but they're less offensive ways to express it.

  • @DriveAustra Her pop style has nothing to do with the way she acts. The SOME of the black audience thought she was selling out by make pop music. It had nothing to do with the way she acted. They thought she was abandoning her gospel and R&B roots. To say that acting black means being gangsta is racist.

  • @NippyFan100 Well, Whitney admitted that a big part of the attraction was sexual, which most of us already figured.

  • Wow...that interview lady needs to just get some from Kevin just to shut up about him.
