@LeoLovesNature Not always. Sony GDM-FW900 for example, arguably the best monitor ever produced, but no digital input. Same with CRT projectors.

Is there not a version of this device that will allow me t connect HDMI into DVI monitor, i dont have a VGA monitor but still need to bypass the HDCP as my DVI monitor isnt compliant.

Theres no sound in the setup because...

#1. Manufacturer is playing their own music over the video

#2. The cable connected to PS3 has HDMI on one end and DVI on the other end. DVI does not output sound.
