My personal fave Morricone...just hearing that chorus and soaring voice I take off lost in a blissful psychedelic dream...

What? This track posted for a year with only 5600 views? This is one of the most gorgeous pieces of music that I've ever heard in my life! Relaxing and TRANSCENDENTAL! This is altered state music! Maybe just as effective as those brainwave harmonizing hemi-sync and binaural beat CDs!

I just posted some excerpts from the 1969 film...its actually kinda dark and depressing, unlike the music.....so now you must find it

I knew this music as early as 1977 when two shortened versions appeared on Morricone's ORCHESTRA AND VOICE. The tracks stunned me. It's emotional, it's elegant, it's magical, it's brilliantly constructed. The VERGOGNA SCHIFOSI soundtrack is quite short but the CD is an absolute must.
I'm still trying to work out whether the soaring vocal piece sexorcismo mentions, was done by Edda dell'Orso or Gianna Spagnulo. But one of these girls really soared, It's incredible music.

Sean O'Hagan of The High Llamas played this recently as part of a great mix he did for Sean Rowley on BBC Radio Kent and I noticed the bassline is very similar to The High Llamas song 'Go to Montecito'.. you should hear it if you like this...
