SC State Treasurer Loftis on DOT Mismanagement

South Carolina State Treasurer Curtis Loftis led questioning into financial mismanagement, accounting and lack of transparency at the SC Department of Transportation during a Nov. 3 SC Budget and Control Board Meeting.
The Treasurer has led efforts to uncover why the agency needed to rely on a $52 million dollar federal bailout and why contractors were not paid on time.

Thank you Curtis, you are a straight shooter, you tell it like it is. I am one of the thousands upon thousands of taxpayers here that is fed up with the roads here in SC. If you are so lucky to live near someone of "power" in SC, then you've seen your road maintained in recent years. I couldn't even get a call returned by SCDOT about concerns dealing in waste and mis-management in my district!
