Triple-threat artist Jasmine Guy sat down with me to talk about her latest projects and her busy summer. Just before going into rehearsal for her show "Raisin Cane" a musical production based on the Harlem Renaissance era, Guy talked about the project of which she has been involved with for three years. Guy along with the Avery Sharpe Trio are giving four performances of the show this weekend in Atlanta. Guy is also directing a new musical "I Dream" about Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and the civil rights movement, performing for the National Black Arts Festival Gala in July and directing a new Pearl Cleage play at the Alliance Theater in August. She talks about all of them in other segments which will be posted here. Recorded on June 23, 2010 using a Flip Video camcorder.
