Lets start off with a very much needed disclaimer: Do not try this at home, especially without adult supervision present, note: the acid I used in this video is poisonous and will burn right through your skin, and the fumes if inhaled in an unventilated area will kill you... NO BS shoot, I'm an adult and I nearly burned the table down!...(I should have video taped that one) anyway, just don't do it! ...
Details: The acid in its diluted state takes about 12 minutes to cut through the coin, so what your seeing is a complete speeded up version of the process. The most difficult part of the process is cutting through the letters and features of the coin. It took 20 coins to get to the level of detail you saw with the finished product... oh yeah, the art that you see was created with the coin in different states and positions... if you want ones of these cool coins, I'll be listing them on ebay soon (ID name: bezos) ....
