  • This was such a great project! I had this on tape for years and never could find it on CD. I eventually recorded the tape to a CD. There was a group in Atlanta called QBK that did this song in 1981 on the 96Rock "Home Cookin' 1" album. I wonder if that was a local Walsh project ???

  • Close, but not quite--the band was called QB1, and was not a Walsh project. Billy Greer was in that band right before he was approached by Walsh's then-manager, to take the bass chair in Streets. The QB1 version of this song got the attention of several managers and major-label representatives, but a common thread in their responses was "call us back when you have more than just the one song."

  • Marty Conn wrote the song and brought it to Billy and Terry Baker to form QB1.

  • Great tune! Came out a little before I broke up with my fiance at the time, and I learned how to play it shortly after we spilt. LOL

Although "If Love Should Go" was the 1st one I heard and caused me to buy the album, this is probably my fave from it.

Surprised to find out Billy Greer was the lead vocals on it too, didn't know it till now. He & Walsh have similar vocal abilities.

Wish I'd seen them back in the day.

    Thanx for posting.

  • That's right, QB1. Thanks for the correction and the inside scoop on that one. I thrive on the whole music trivia thing. Do you know if Streets ever wound up on CD? Never could find it.

  • What do you guys think of Mike Slamer? This guy has a really good sound to his guitar. It almost sounds a little chainsaw-ish, you know? A real aggressive, yet very clean tone to his playing.

  • Billy Greer wrote and sang this song with his old band QB1.

  • East TENNESSEE produces some of the finest musicians to grace the ground of this planet, and Billy is certainly one of them!

So proud of Billy for his achievements!

  • Why doesn't a band as good as this with a high profile lead singer and guitarist have such a shitty light show at any of their concerts? Thanks for the posts Salporin. I'm just now really beginning to appreciate these Street tunes.Better late than never!
