can any body tell me the difference between the Z custom and Z custom dyno beats, i want to get 2 14" z custom dyno beats and have them put together to be the hi hat cause i like the sound, heaviness and washiness, but why put a master sound or some thing on top?

A thinner top would be a better complement to that heavy Z bottom, IMHO. I use a 13" A Custom top with my Z Dyno Beat bottom, & get a lot more variety of sounds - not so one dimensional as this Z/Z combination.

@armedwithturtles yeah i know but those are more expensive, but i think the mastersounds could be easier to find

@hendrickvps if you need a quick sound try either 13 or 14'' mastersounds

I need a quick sound for hi hats, something like the AA metal-x hi hat from sabian, you think this is the right one o there is a better one? zildjian of course

Put a 14 in. A custom crash on top and 14 In. Dyna Beat on the bottom and you get sweet stick control with the bang and not as much "dirty wash" as with two of them together-- good for sixtys garage band stuff. Still always seem to go back to a pair of 15 in. New Beats that I bought back in '77 Something about the whole package I guess------

Your anare sound is amazing. How do you get it to sound like that?

@Trgamemas It is just good tuning. A lot of snares have the potential to sound great. Our snare drums are tuned tight on the snare side and moderately tight on the batter side. The snares are moderately tight.
