Well, there are two different kinds of flat. A burger certainly isn't spherical like a grapefruit, but it does look somewhat circular when you hold it up. And some people consider meaty things tasty.

You are so right. I used to watch sesame street all the time and never thought it was funny as a kid. I'm watching these now and I'm just cracking up. The Big Blue skits are downright hilarious.

More likely, if anything, for the times he demanded the sandwich to look just like the one in the picture, every single letter in the alphabet soup, and the time he couldn't decide whether to eat the ham sandwich or the soup de'jour first.
