Based on a dream that I had, this stop motion explores the idea of the "boxes" that hold us back from experiencing life to the fullest and the amazing world around us when we finally accept our reality and choose live free.

This is my box. This is the place that I have spent the entirety of my life making into my home. I made it safe. Impenetrable. Easy. And this where I sat in docile darkness, listening to the soft whisper of the wind, the wild rage of the sea. All of it outside. Then, the rain fell, soaking through to my skin.

Yet, in my quickly-collapsing pile of soggy cardboard I remained. Frozen in my fear. Until the day I heard the wind about me, rattling me, shaking me, shouting for me to let it go, calling me out of my box.

On that day, I rose on shaky legs from my pile of cardboard and threw it into the sea. I need my box no longer. I live a new life. In a new reality. A reality that includes sun and rain, sand and surf. A reality that means sometimes I get wet and sometimes I get cold. But it is real. And it is what I choose. I would have it no other way.

And so, I ask you? What are you waiting for? Get out of your box! Its so beautiful out here
