I made the world's first Altoids Smalls portable USB charger that uses a 9v battery as its power source. It also has special resistors for pin 2 and 3 to fool any device into thinking that it is charging from a wall outlet. The current reaches as high as 1amp, and it lets any device charge very fast. Components used are: Altoids Smalls tin, 9v battery, 2 100ohm resistors, 5v voltage regulator, switch, electrical tape, and a few very thin wires. Enjoy.

  • Got all parts at radioshack,

  • Sure but i dont see why you wouldn't make one yourself. Thats the fun part. And it would only cost u like 6$.

  • For the circuit diagram (i assume that is what you are asking for) you can watch my second video.

  • Yes it does. It will charge any of the apple devices. The resistors jump from the hot pin (5v) to pins 2 and 3 (middle ones). Ps: connect your ground to the voltage regulator ground and then to the second battery terminal.
