We're used to seeing emergency responders at crime scenes and investigations. But it's what they're leaving behind that could be hazardous. FOX 41's Julie Tam exposes the problem in a story you'll see only on FOX. Her investigation prompted the Louisville Metro Police Department to revise its policy to clean up crime and accident scenes, just one week later.

  • All evidence was taken away; all authorities were gone... Why were the gloves still there? I would hope that the gloves aren't evidence left behind for anyone to find! The last authority to leave a crime/death scene should clean up, not leave trash behind on someone else's property. In all these cases, police investigated for hours at the scene, after any ambulances had already left. All authorities apparently took all other tools with them, didn't leave them on the ground, just left the gloves.

  • If the ambulance crew changes gloves on scene, you leave them. They are evidence!

  • ok.....first off, as far as the emt/medics go....if someone's life is in danger and every second counts to get them to the ER to save their life, do you honestly think we're going to wait even longer to clean up? yea right...as far as the Police goes, they sit on a scene for hours after the rest have gone. They can get off their lazy asses and pick it up considering they're not doing anything anyway. Before you try to blast me, I was a cop for 4.5 years, I have been a emt/firefighter since 2002
