Not cancelled- shelved. Coming back hopefully, but realistically not for a long time. Let's hope the extra shelf time gives it extra goodness.
I think this game (Or at least games like this) are exactly what Sony and Microsoft should be afraid of. A mature edge and gritty appeal that nevertheless showcases to great effect the wii's motion controls. For those who insist that nintendo is too kiddy, this game offers the best of both worlds.

Hopefully this will resurface as a Wii U launch title. HD graphics, normal controls w/ optional motion controls, and the Wii U controller's screen showing the hud to allow more viewing space on the TV...it could be awesome.

Put this in the hands of either Atsushi Inaba and/or Suda51, and you got yourself one amazing game (which will sadly go on to sell like shit).

everyone good news!!!! a bunch of fricking retards online say ohh this game is cancelled but look at vgreleases(dot)com and the say its comming out january 2nd 2008 and gamespots website also says january 2008, these people are retarded its NOT getting cancelled!

You know that we are way past January 2008 right...? It's cancelled for now but I would love to see Nintendo bring it back.
