Ive been a fan for over ten years but its only recently ive grown to like this song,i love the current tour version....this looks like an amazing setting to see Leonard, cheers for the upload
I did the very same. My companion faked being a Cohen fan and then became a real one. I missed work due to the rain delay at the risk of my dead end job. It was well worth it! I told my companion who I thought was a fan, when we were deciding whether to stay... "This is huge like getting married or giving birth, it's worth it." And it was. Like to talk with you. But with mutual understanding, we already get it.
I was also there and it is really impossible to describe to anyone who did not witness it just how deeply moving this performance was. I went with someone who was not a "fan" and totally unfamiliar with his music and they too were totally swept up in a flood of emotion, love and gratitude for this most gracious and generous soul. I can't think of a performance in the my last 45 years that even comes close.
Even though the original date was rained out, the concert on Thursday was great. Leonard was in great form even if he and the band was a mile high! After four or five encores, his final song started., "I tried to leave you...." It was good to see a life-long companion for 39 years finally in person! Gary Neitzke
there was so much emotion and power to his music. I was there at red rocks. I feel like a part of my life is now complet after seeing Leonard in concert.
@roncronton I discovered Cohen with "I'm Your Man" way later than most. I must agree. This has become a favorite.
