Well Diane Sawyer is from Kentucky. That explains it.

a gigantic that's what she said moment

Great puns aside, how da hell does someone as ENGLISH as ol' Charles not know what to do with a teabag? Tea's more common in the UK than water! Obviously he was just being a tad pretentious or feeling a bit stereotyped maybe- Using an actual teabag is beneath him, something "Americans" do.

Symbolically speaking, the Boston Teaparty was probably the first official 'teabag.'

This was so damn funny I woke my wife up at 2:00 am laughing. It is so funny when older people say something and have no idea what it means these days.

Some who don't get it, might want to google "teabagging". Wonder if Diane Sawyer ever got the joke?
