This is just a couple shots taken on a recent outing......scenic stuff...train ride down the river....old town Sacramento, the tourist destination. It is a place I've been to numerous times, yet one I never tire of. Thrill of the day? having my nose about 8 inches from a Renoir, at the nearby Crocker Art museum......to tell the truth, it was all thrilling, from the German hot dog eaten out of hand out of doors to the sound of steam whistles, to the lovely cloudy sky, to the lumps of overpriced divinity candy bought at the lil sidewalk candyshop......I loved my lil getaway.......Picture that river FULL of paddle wheel boats, well over 100 years ago, unloading miners who came from all over the world bound for the Sierra Nevada Foothills.........in search of gold........in case you are wondering, the Mayans did not settle on the banks of the Sacramento River....that was a rather odd choice of architecture for a big money title company, I think................................many thanks for watching, listening, .......hope you had a fun mini getaway too....:-)blessings!!
