  • How can those voters of the Rock 'n Roll HoF pick Dr. John and Darlene Love over Laura Nyro? Give me a break. The RnR HoF is a joke. They lose more and more credibility each year.

  • The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame needs to induct her...yesterday.

  • I love Laura. Most soulful ever, along with her hero Curtis Mayfield.

  • God, she's lovely!

  • LAURA NYRO ROCKS THE WOMAN WAS A GENIUS WHERE WOULD ALL THESE WOMEN SINGERS BE IF IT WAS NOT FOR HER. RIP

  • @lastrada52 I think it was Darin...and it makes sense that he'd do that for her...after all, he'd not only had Linda Ronstadt on on a different special, he'd played the guitar intro on Linda's song.

  • @ JimKF. Dr. John and Darlene Love are good. I agree that the RnR Ho F is B.S. but not because they picked the two you wished they'd passed for Laura Nyro. They deserve to be honored. But definitely so does Laura Nyro even more so. Remember, any place that declares itself to be the arbiter of artistic excellence is more than likely a commercial enterprise. We know in our minds and hearts what counts best. Cheers.

" I just don't see how Nyro fame."

Aside from your poor writing skills, you probably aren't that musically sophisticated either. People with a poor education generally don't appreciate good music, and prefer whatever is being played on the radio, at the moment.

  • FYI She wrote more songs than I can name here.

  • Looks like you all got you Rock and Roll hall of fame induction. I just don't see how Nyro fame. Not very good either IMO. Oh well. After hearing she will be inducted i had to find out who she is. Not impressed.

  • I discovered Laura Nyro on You tube. Thanks a million for this moment in time.

  • Laura Nyro on a stuffy NBC musical program like The Kraft Music Hall....but that face at the beginning making the introduction.....was that....Bobby Darin? Now I understand why Laura Nyro was invited to perform on this show. Someone like Darin who also supported the work of Tim Hardin must have had a hand in securing her a spot. Laura -- she's always great. Bobby Darin....if you did pull strings to get Laura on NBC that night -- I applaud your taste......again.
