Gilgamesh - How it's Done Part 1

Long have I sought the Blade of Legend, Scoured the furthest marches East and West and now my search brings me here TO DUODECIM!!!

Anyway, there has been a lot of discussion as to whether or not Gilgamesh is very good. Many people who don't really know what they're doing will tell you that Gilgamesh is terrible because of random weapons and then complain that he has no range with most of his attacks, I think you can realize that they don't know what they're talking about. I'm here to tell you he's probably the best new character gameplay wise added to the game, he's actually incredibly good in a skilled players hands and can make your opponents lives a living hell. Even top players agree he's an absolute monster with his unbelievable damage output, incredibly fast attacks, some of the best punishes in the game, safe pokes, powerful Ex Mode and Burst, and versatile HP attacks that can deal with most situations.

This is the first of 2 (Maybe more) videos showing the way I personally play with Gilgamesh. I use his vertical punish game to punish most of the attacks my opponents throw out while I harass them with pokes. I really wish he had used HP attacks so I could show you how to counter them, Gilgamesh is actually one of the few characters that can deal with Kuja in the air and he can do it very well.

@clowsui He's even stronger as he can now cancel most of his attacks into High/All Guard, he's still ass on any sort of offense though

gilgamesh is best suited for an all out no holds barred assault, just go on the offensive with him and you cannot do wrong.

So By "Random Weapons" You Mean That His Attacks May Have Different Strength/Effects? Like Say He Has An Attack Called... "Slash"... So You Use Slash And Get The Excalibur, But Then You se It Another Time And You Got The Masamune. Does That Make Any Difference In His Attack Strength/Effect?

Hey Prism, I got a question. If you use an Assist HP attack in EX Mode, can you use EX Burst?
