Part of an ongoing series of videos showing how to use the EMC Celerra Simulator in conjunction with VMware Virtual Infrastructure and ESX Server

This video is part 1 of a two-parter covers how to take a Celerra VM and make it unique - regardless of whether it was deployed from a template, an OVF import, or cloned. This will cover changing the Celerra's name, serial number, and correcting for new MAC addresses.

  • Sorry about the audio, will try to use a better encoding.

We're working to make the Celerra VSA easier to install, and the biggest thing to do that would be to automate this customization step.

  • Thanks for this video, it is very helpful!

I would recommend using a higher quality audio encoding in the future as there is a crackling when you emphasize words that is tough on the ears.

  • Thanks Chad! This is good stuff. Any idea when EMC will be bundling these steps into the simulator package?
