on the music itself, thanks to the uploader. I found the Chills after getting into the Verlaines and in NZ music have found a LOT of very pure, and clever stuff. This track, with a morning coffee and looking out the window, put me in a different place today. Pink Frost got to me the same way.

@silverdawnNZ what puzzles me is why this version of house 100 wasn't the single version, basically(i think) it sounds better! it is better!
a friend asked martin about it and he said the other version was to him superior?! But even so, i still can't understand why this less available version didn't make secret box( it was for rarities primarily!), and even more so these less common versions of party and jungle from this session, though i'd say the other verions sound better overall.
A hidden track on the vinyl release, that's interesting. Which record label issued your copy? My F.NUN Nz issue is pressed only with what's listed on the sleeve.
Little known is that this here version is actually one of two recorded versions, the more commomly availble being the single version, issued later on the best of, and Secret Box, and available on some of the cd issues of Brave Words(along with party in my heart and living in a jungle at the half way point of the record.)

@silverdawnNZ Interesting, Silver. My copy is by Homestead Records, a Long Island, NY, based sublabel of music distributor Dutch East India Trading. This was the 7th song on side one, right after "Ghosts", but wasn't listed on the sleeve, only the record label itself. Great song.

@motownmaniax what i ran out space to say previous is that the versions of party in my heart and living in a jungle on the Homestead issued cd copy of the album are also different recordings to those more commonly available. those 2 songs and house one hundred are actually different recordings, as opposed to differnt mixes or whatever, recorded at differnt locations, on different days, though the engineering/ production of the sound is remarkably similar. the other two sound more garagey or live

@silverdawnNZ CD versions of LPs usually have more goodies and extra songs. If there wasn't so much duplication I'd get the CD issue, too. Not sure why it wasn't included in the "Secret" box, either?
