Well, I wouldn't waste my time comparing people publicly unless one was particularly fraudulant. I feel that Master An is very powerful, and I'll keep myself to promoting positives, rather than focussing on other people's negatives. I don't know Master An, nor have I trained with him, but my vote is that this is a real flower of Quan, from whom we can all learn something about correct power generation. Just as we can learn things from other videos.

Simple theory: the internal power does not come from your hard musle beats. it comes from the deep silence and in a relaxed and calm condition by the exercises.
The old classical internal martial arts are fine and elegant and could even be hard. The power is without limit, it depends on your mindset!

@JoseAlbn - It's because raising his heel like that before the strike allows him to slap it down harder. You're right that it makes the forward strike weaker, but the slapping noise tricks people into thinking it is a powerfull strike.

So much Chi behind every strike
I liked his spirit, and his power, but theres something odd in the way he steps. He first tiptoes in then steps....and it seems to get in the way of power generation. Is there a hidden reason you could explain?

The reason he makes the little step is so that he can release a stronger burst of power (发力 / 发劲). It can be applied in just about every form or Chinese martial arts.
If you practice Xing Yi or another form of Chinese matrial arts you can try to do it to understand what I mean...
When doing a movement control your energy and power and release it at the very end.

(for instance when punching, don't use all of your power from the moment you start moving your arm, but only at the last few inches before just hitting the target). It's the same principle with the little step. When taking one big step with a lot of power, it's almost impossible to get the explosiveness at the end.
