Really recorded at the Police Academy? The piano sounds exactly like the one that's on the great 'All Night Sessions' recordings done in Nov '55. And so does the bass player & drummer. Did they take it - piano - with them when they left? Anyway, Hampton Hawes is one of the greatest piano players ever. Ahmad Jamal thinks so too - read an interview of Jamal recently where he referred to Hampton Hawes as 'The Master.' Thanks for this great upload.
