@DianaMcjames Yes, rehab is quite a decision for an addict to make as they are often too frightened of failure to make it, especially if they have tried before and failed. However, it can be successful given a good program that handles the life aspect of the addict as well as the drug side. It is not correct that either alcohol (which is a form of drug) or drug addiction are diseases. Diseases can often be remedied with medicines. It is impossible to cure addiction with medication.

@mariaharagon767 Yes, you are right. The biggest thing that we find in the people who do our program is lack of education. They have no idea what they are getting into when they start. They are lied to by experts whose only real purpose is to make money by pushing drugs while pretending to offer you a "good time". Even when the pushers are users too they only want to get you hooked to make more money to buy more stuff.

Many youngsters become addicted to drugs, due to bad companion. Once the person becomes dependent on drugs, it takes some time to recover them completely.
