Trying out the mic input of the Kodak Zi8. It works quite good, but I have to find a way to reduce noise. I used a Shure SM57 to mic a Blackstar HT-5 combo amp.

Video quality is not so good, but this has to do with the compression method I used in a video editing software package. I need to find a better compression method, suggestions are more then welcome!

  • Isn't the HT-5 awesome? If I didn't have a JCM 800 I would go back to it or a club 40 or something. Blackstars are amazing.

So what sort of adapter for the Shure to the Zi8? Is it XLR male to 3.5mmm, or XLR female to 3.5 mm? Sorry I can't find it on the net, and i want to buy the adapter and mic at the same time (so i can't look at the mic to see if it's male or female). Also do you need to power the mic, or just hook up directlhy. Thanks for any info!

  • Nice playing dude, those frets look HUGE!!!!!

  • You deserve that guitars, nice playing!

  • Fender Japan Web says, Bridge PU is DiMarzio Chopper T and Front is Twang King.

No Tone pot, and Rotary switch is there instead. This is for changing Pararell to Serias for both PUs at middle position. This is true.

  • @nextbestguitarist It's for more tonal variety with the humbucker in the bridge which is a DiMarzio Fast Track. The three positions series, coil split and parallel. Series is also known as full humbucking mode, splitting shorts out one pole to create a single coil sound and parallel is like a lower output and more midrange and bass version of series.

  • @XAlphaZEROX Could you explain what that is please, i really want this guitar lol
