Part two (2/2) of me driving my mom's 2002 Ford Taurus SEL Premium...not exciting at all neither of us really like the car all that much for reasons too long to list, for the record.....it's been bulletproof in terms of reliability and is getting replaced next year.

  • I'm giad I came across your videos. Nicely done. I have the 2003 Taurus Centennial. Got the 24V Duratec. I got it up to 210 horsepower. It will scoot for a Taurus. And I totally agree on the brakes. One of Ford's dumbest designs. Why put drums on the back? It is so stupid. Brakes are "spongy" like you said. If i can I'm gonna upgrade to disc. But good vids. I'll add some of mine soon. Keep it up

  • Thanks! I really like those Taurus Centennials, they're pretty rare. The stupid part is before the 2000 model year update, you could get a Taurus sedan with four wheel disc brakes....but cost cutting limited four wheel discs to the wagon from 2000-2005 (no wagons after 2005)...

  • u make really good videos.

this car is a decent family car or a first car

    it has enough power

  • Thank you! I agree, it is a good car despite what I say in the video. It just really bothers me that the dash is squeaking like crazy (at times) and the brakes (yes, they're new) are not sufficient. With the 2000 model year mid-cycle refresh, Ford took away the availability of four wheel disc brakes which is disappointing...(they're only available on the 00-05 Taurus wagon) ...also my Milan totally spoils me so it makes this car seem worse than it probably is :)

  • @zachzach867 Almost all cars use drum brakes since most of the work is done up front one way to fix a spongy brake problem is to put on braided brake lines.

  • Yo ass could at least do an acceleration.

  • Yeah they are. Mine is the only one I've seen out driving around where I am. But the brake thing is so stupid. Trying to get the original drums off after about 116k miles was a chore. Dumb design. I mean I know it is a Taurus, but it does have quite a bit of power and it will go. It would be much more efficient for 4 wheel disc.

  • yes well beware of the Ford Transmistion Failure!!! at 85k to 140k there gone!!! My GP GT is at 122k and its decked out and runs well. i love gm before they killed off Pontiac!! anyway i use to have a Taurus SE there nice smooth ride..

  • Excellent drive around! Really, american cars are greats. Do you ever ride so slowly in US? (60km/h?) Makemore vids, your mercury is pretty! And nice pictures of a foreign country...

  • yea its not a perfect car but it will get you around..

i just would make sure not to pick it in a bright color.
