Star Wars Cantina Band (ragtime piano duet)

(Note: This sheet music is meant to be a guide only. It isn't perfect, nor is it identical to the music in this video- however, it should be close enough to help any pianist learn this piece. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.)

This is my version of Martin Spitznagel and Brian Wright's version of John William's song "Cantina Band" from Episode IV of Star Wars. (Not complicated at all.)

My cousin and I were scheduled to play a piano duet at a talent show (Springforth Artsfest 2010) and we needed an idea. We typed in "piano duet" on YouTube, hoping for inspiration, and lo and behold, one of the first results was Mr. Spitznagel and Mr. Wright's excellent version of this song. We had no prior ragtime experience, so our version didn't quite measure up in terms of technical perfection, but it was a fun song to play, and we got a lot of positive feedback afterwards.

in this version, I play both the treble and bass parts.

Full credit goes to John Williams, for writing this song, and to Martin Spitznagel and Brian Wright for arranging it (I made a couple of minor changes, but they did all the major arranging). Also thanks to Micah Stairs for helping me figure out both my part and his.

The sheet music has hit a temporary snag due to Garageband not liking my style of playing. To all those who are waiting for the music, I'll try to fix the issue soon, but it might be a while; I might have to use another program.

@Endaviour I looked at the original sheet music for some of the chords, but it was mostly by ear. I don't have sheet music right now, but I'll be making some in the near future, as I've had a few requests.
