As a non violent,non sexual offender who's crime had nothing to do with guns, I don't see why he shouldn't have the right to own a gun. I'm by no means a fan of his actions, or his viewpoints in general, but I don't see why he should be denied the right to have guns since his crimes were in no way violent or related to guns. In my opinion, the only felons that should not have guns are violent felons, and genuine sex offenders (rapists, molesters, etc, not the guy who got caught peeing in public)

He's a felon. He's not allowed to have firearms because of a law that he helped pass. If he wanted "bribery, tax evasion" or for that matter "rabies, black bears, and cougars" to be an exception, he should have thought about ammending them into the bill before he helped pass it.
