  • i grew up in houston, texas in the 70's and 80's and my mother and father were good friends with rusty. i have pictures of myself and my little sister sitting out in the back of gilley's in pasadena with rusty. my sister and i were just listening to black hat saloon and talking about back then. my only regret is that i hadn't seen him since i was a kid and one too many times i put off going to a show. if i am not mistaken my mother saw him before she died.

  • This is one of the greatest all-time albums to come out of Texas.

  • He didn't write it but he sang it from the heart....I fell in love to this song in the 70's. Unfortunately, the love died just like the singer. I miss you Rusty.

  • I believe Stevie Nicks wrote this song. Her version is beautiful. And Rusty made it his too. There will never be another one like Rusty Wier.

  • Thanks so much for adding this one. Can't seem to find it on the 5 Wier vinly-albums in my collection. Who wrote it, sounds like a Wier-original! BEAUTIFUL. Thanks again! The Doc

  • A beautiful song......RIP Rusty.....

  • my favorite Rusty Wier song. I love this
