An audio version of a short article I posted in what is basically my blog at http://sine-out.deviantart.com/journal/27917864/
Along with some imagery to make the visual bit not completely uninteresting.
Oh. and http://www.kff.org/insurance/snapshot/chcm010307oth.cfm is the source for the graph.
Basically, I've decided that if I have a script, I won't be recording a video to record it, because, well, as may be evidenced in my previous video, I suck at reading from a script, particularly since my current camera location doesn't put me in front of my screens, I'll leave the less guided video's to be actual video's with my ugly mug.
@Neosaigo How have you determined pure capitalism is a failure? We have never experienced any thing close to pure capitalism in this country since before Woodrow Wilson. Laser eye surgery costs have come down, outcomes improved and access flourished because it is not heavily regulated by the government and non-consumer directed insurance. Capitalism works when unimpeded.

@mukmakumkum based on the definition you provided my definition of communism is a Marxist one. I provided China and the USSR as examples of 'communism gone wrong', as the concept of communism that many people perceive it to be.

@1Putt4eagle Let me put it this way since I am not deluded by the fear of socialism.
Pure Capitalism = Fail.
Pure Socialism = Fail.
Communism = Paradise (If you have infinite resources, which we don't so it also fail)
Capitalism Socialism Hybrid = What we have been trying to balance since the dawn of civilization. This is the best bet we got, and we need to balance it if we want to have a future. This is why extremist are dangerous since they don't understand compromise.

When you remove individual motivation, as in socialism, productivity can only happen through the threat of force. In a socialist society, if you need more ditch diggers than those that are willing to dig ditches, there is only the option of force through the state. It's an inherently tyrannical philosophy. The United States was founded on the principles of individual liberty. What socialism structures there are in the United States, ie Public Schools, have been failures, esp. for the poor.

@mukmakumkum like the Marxist one, can you please clarify what you mean?

There are two definitions of communism that I am am familiar with. One is the Marxist definition: a stateless, classless society based on "from each to his need, to each according to his ability" another defintion is the one that I was taught in history class: A society where the means of production are controlled by the government, which holds very much power of people's lived. (i.e. China, USSR) you cite China and the Ussr as examples of communism, but your defintion of communism seems more
