  • OUCH! This is one bad version of "Ah Mio Cor!" The American accent in Italian Opera is not a good thing! Listen to enunciation of the Italian words such as: "dei", "tanto", "pianto", "d'amore"... the list goes on and on... Also, what happened to the sub-text, legato, portamento & why such a rush singing this repertoire? Try singing in Bel-Canto style - you'll get different result. Good luck dear!

  • I'm sorry that you feel her song is so bad. Apparently it was good enough that she was one of only 2 students in the district solo competition of over 100 students to be selected to compete in the state competition. She sang the song the way she was trained to sing it by her vocal coach. She is now working on the song more for the state competition. I would also point out that she is only 15. She has won numerous singing competitions and I (her mother) believe she will continue to improve.

  • your voice is really beautiful and strong and has a high quality but your accent is awful...try to fix this!!!

  • this sounds weird, shes not singing opera, she is singing opera like the pop music...

she needs more singing lessons and she needs to listen to opera singers to understand this music.

and even if she is 15, she should sound much better than she sounds in this video...

  • @bananapeanutcream Well, obviously, her teacher taught her wrong and the other people competing weren't very good.

  • you are soo young and I think you will one day be a good singer, but you must work hard. I'm singer too and I know how hard is to be a singer. You must work HARD!

  • I think she would exceed more singing Broadway then classic.....

  • Wow! I'm singing this in my school choir and I think you did a really nice job. Personally I like that it's faster. That's how I like to sing it. You have a fabulous voice! I can't believe you're only 15 in the video! You're very talented, keep singing!

  • Instead of saying "Aye" at the end of words like "perche," it needs to be "eh." That will help a lot with the way your voice sounds. Using those dipthongs is not good for Italian. Good luck in your future.

  • I'm always told to work on my italian diction more, and i think thats also something you need to work on, it sounded awesome, but thats something you need to work on.

  • I get to sing this for my solo ensemble on march 5th. I have trouble remembering some of the runs at times, so listening to a girl sing it well really helps me. You did amazing on the song! I hope i do as well as you did :)

  • TALLER VOWELS!

  • this aria is much slower! I am sining this aria and i sining slower much more!

  • oh my god...this is really ...well it`s not good i'm very sorry.. the technique and how she's singing it..it's awful! I can't believe that she won competition with that interpretation of the aria! it must be full of pain and love! mixed with hate...not just loud and without any emotion! i would change the coach! if händel would hear this.. try to practise more...listen to a version of Joan Sutherland or someone else!
