  • remember it well-see my video 'the famous drought of 1976'.

  • Many of the fires were cause by disarded pop glass bottles, the sun would be magnified by the glass and ignite the VERY dry grass, I lived in Norfolk at the time and it was bad, we even had sand drifting up like snow, it covered cars and hedges, much like the sand storms they get in the old Cowboy films..

  • the long hot summer of 76 i'm guessing ?

  • May I ask how did the fire begun?what caused it?
