This boeing 747-200 was first a singapore airlines jet but was later sold to PanAm.
Aircraft history in dates :
19.03.1976 - First flight
30.03.1976 - Delivered to Singapore Airlines as 9V-SQE
20.06.1984 - Sold to PanAm as N727PA "Clipper Belle of the Sky"
April 1991 - Withdrawn from use, and parked in Miami
21.08.1992 - To Nationair Canada as C-FNXP, Sub-leased to Kuwait Airways, Garuda Indonesia and Cathay pacific
20.05.1993 - Re-registered as N514DC
13.06.1994 - To Air Club International as C-GCIH
23.10.1995 - Re-registered as N511P
22.01.1996 - To Tower Air as N620FF
Sep 2000 - Withdrawn from use and parked in New York
28.01.2002 - To Transjet Airways as SE-RBN
Jul 2002 - Last flight for Transjet ; Dublin - Stockholm, Withdrawn from use and parked at Arlanda.
12.01.2004 - To Northeast Airlines as 3D-NEE. Aircraft later deemed to be no longer airworthy.
01.05.2007 - To Jet Midwest as N981JM for final works, registration then cancelled ad the aircraft was sold to Oscar Diös/Jumbo Hostel.
28.08.2008 - The Aircraft is moved to her new home at Arlanda Airport.
15.01.2009 - Jumbo Hostel opens for guests and visitors !

  • What does this means man??i mean does the plane fly and when autopilot when can sleep or sumthing??or the jumbo hostel is not flyable??

    fist of all, lol. no it's not flyable, it's a grounded 747-200 that have been rebuilt to a Hostel.

    So, it's a Jumbo Hostel !

  • they have their own baggage cart that u can drive in the lot. these are the airlines that had that plane before it was a hostel: Singapore airlines, Pan am, Air club, Tower air, Air asia, Transjet. THOSE WERE IN ORDER

  • I live in Stockholm Sweden.... but i have still slept there once. it feels like u are waking up on a flight to HONK KONG

  • Okay, i just thought of a great idea. The wings should be decks where the guests can go outside. There are (used-to-be emergency) doors that lead to the left and right wing and those can be the entrances. And of course, for safety, have the wings with a fence-type thing that decks usually have. with lights for a pleasant outlook when dark. There can be tables n seating. OMG IM A GENIUS lol.
